Think it's healthy to have some independence. You don't go out with da gals and cause a ruckus?

Why do you care?
He was just pointing out how you were incorrectly assuming what every office happy hour was like.

I do but with my group of friends it’s usually at dinner parties or restaurants.

It’s a genius money saving tactic by the company. You and Lynda from accounting start having an affair and end up getting married after your inevitable divorces. In turn, the company pays one benefits package.
They’re playing the long game and you’re the sucker.

I’m not sitting at a bar with coworkers in mixed company. I’m with friends and family.

My bet is that this dudes wife has this happy hour, and he is pissed because he doesn't trust that she won't be banging the sales manager because he knows he is a bitch.

Do you really think work happy hours at 4PM on usually a Thursday are held at clubs?
Posted on 8/28/18 at 2:57 pm to shel311
Just stop. I really don’t care what any of you do no more than you care what I do.

Nailed it. I have 3 kids, two under the age of 4. Between their activities, work, etc., I don't have time for company happy hour.
My exact scenario down to the ages and this all day. I bust my arse at work. When I leave the hospital it’s time for me and my family.

Are you an 11 year old girl that thinks boys have coodies? I have no idea how people like you function in society.

Hospitals for Doctors and nurses are completely different than your average business though. A lot of shift work for one. But its a different type of a team.
But AGAIN, its a company happy hour. Happy hour is literally the time before dinner that a restaurant or bar gives drink special to encourage earlier attendance. For a work setting, its usually from 4-6 pm at the latest. I don't understand the idea that someone doesn't have 60 minutes once every couple of months to have a couple of beers and blow some steam talking shop with Bob from IT.
ETA: Fricking A Bob, when are you getting my damn new monitor I've been asking for?

Good.
Spouses at work events usually kinda suck. The co-workers can’t actually relax and enjoy to free time with their SO there

It’s perfectly ok for anyone who wants to do that to do it. It’s not any of my business. Everything I stated was from my point of view. What you do in your life does not matter nor does affect how I live mine. I personally feel that it’s disrespectful but that’s just me. I not judging anyone for going.
