My husband came with me yesterday. The physical issues I have are not always visible but he is absolutely there to make sure I am ok. I am sure it is not his favorite thing to do and he would rather be at home in the recliner watching sports. But it is much safer if he is there with me. I do sometimes go alone but it takes me longer because I have to be really careful.

I don't know about beta, but it is a waste of resources for two people to do the job of one. Grocery shopping is a one person job. If one goes grocery shopping, the other can do a load of laundry or cut the grass. Two things get done in the same time slot. Also, it further clogs already crowded aisles.

My wife does the grocery shopping but if we’re out and need to stop I’ll usually go in with her unless it’s just for one thing.

Not worry about being beta
Don't like going with wife though bc she is shopping. When I go I am executing a tactical plan that success hinges on how quick I get out.
