I heard today that there are crawfish down in the Everglades, but some invasive species of eel looking thing is gobbling most of them up. I never heard of FL crwfish before.

Just not gonna buy crawfish this year. I’m not bothered by it. You go get 4-5 pounds cooked and then served to you, it’s gonna be around $100.

8.99 for boiled in my area around Houston. Price has come down quite a bit. I think I paid 7.99 last year for cooked.

That Boiled Half & Half for $35 doesn't seem like too bad a deal right now, all considered. Get a taste of good boiled crawfish and finish filling up on some shrimps.
Couple boiled potatoes and a sausage link to go with it, and I'd be satisfied for the time being.

UHHH, those are crawfish nets, not traps, and as far as I'm concerned, use beef melt for bait since it is bloody as hell and holds us well as the crawfish feast on it.
Me and one of my cousins would run 3 dozen nets up in Laplace and catch a couple sacks a day when we'd go.
Too old to be slogging through the swamps now.

6 to 8 of those things won't catch nearly enough. You'll be lucky to get 3 in each. That'd be 18-24 crawfish which at this part of season is 1 lb. Gotta set out at least 50 of those today for a meal.

I'll eat boiled shrimp where just 2 lbs. of them is pretty much more than the average person can eat----and if corn, potatoes and sausage are involved, you won't come close to eating 2 lbs.
