You know that's standard right? Not over tipping

In other words your best tippers are white men

I usually use a card to pay for the bill, but carry cash for tipping purposes only.

I'm a southern liberal Democrat and I tip 20% every time unless the service is bad so you and your survey can go frick yourselves. K? Mm k.

Bwahaha....so g nugget is a waiter??
Posted on 7/10/17 at 7:30 am to rondo
gnugget is being an upstanding citizen and electing to waiter to pay off his student loan. You know this already.
I always feel like I overtip. For a 30 dollar meal I tip 10. Apparently not.

About 20% of all respondents said they don’t leave any tip at restaurants.
This is difficult to believe. When I waited tables, a stiff was few and far between. Bad tips were common, but rarely did you get nothing.

I tip well since I eat out regularly at the same places but it cracks me up that the service industry has manipulated public thinking on tip amounts so well. It used to be 15%, now we have people saying 25% is "standard"? My arse. When I eat a $75 meal at the bar, $15 is a nice tip. Someone will have to justify more than that for making me three drinks and setting a plate down at my spot.

So democrats want governement to hand out monies to waiters and other poors, but not actually give it to them themselves?
I've always found this perplexing.
They're hypocrites. It's a job requirement.

Yeah, I used to deliver pizzas some in college. Out of probably hundreds or more of deliveries, I can think of 3, maybe 4, people who tipped nothing and expected back exact change (which delivery drivers don't actually keep coin change on them). I think it's pretty rare not to tip anything. shite tips were somewhat regular though.

frickers left me $0.66. That's not how it works. Unfortunately most people tip on the after-discount amount instead of before. $0.66 is 20% of $3.31 but they did it wrong.

Wait. First off, didn't you graduate from TCU? Did you make some terrible decisions like myself to end up in the service industry after college?
Secondly, Groupon and 225Eats(a similar program in BR) put on their coupons/emails to tip on the Total BEFORE the discount is applied.
Some people are just retarded if they think that is fair to tip on discounted amount.

That's just stupid. I'll give a 25% tip for over the top outstanding service. If it's good to standard service I'll leave a 20% tip. And on rare occassions when the service is just terrible, I'll leave them nothing.
I' a frim beleiver in what I like to call "truth in tipping".
Posted on 7/10/17 at 8:09 am to Rouge
Yeah I think my card use tends to make me tip higher than when I'm laying down cash. Usually in the 20%-25% range on tips via the card often due to quick math.

Blacks in general are the worst tippers ever with black women taking the 1st place trophy on least amounts and not at all? I sent it!!!!

It's really more like 18% now. That's how it is on most autograts.
I usually go 20% (25 if the service is good) simply because I'm lazy, and 20 is easier to mentally calculate than 18. And that 2% isn't gonna make me or break me.

Maybe he even wants to pay down some that crippling student debt, if he has some. Maybe he just has good work ethic. I don't know why he is doing, but can't kick a man for working what you may deem as an inferior job.
Bwahaha....so g nugget is a waiter??
Also, he could be doing it to pick up women.

For example this past Saturday I had a table and it was the person's birthday, so on their birthday we mail them a coupon for $20 off their next visit. Anyway they bought $23.31 worth of food and with the $20 off their bill was $3.31.
Yikes, prayers sent.

Weird. I'm a female, Southern, Democrat and I was pretty well raised that you respect good service and reward it with a good tip.
I don't mean to be an a-hole, but rounding off to the nearest whole dollar isn't a good tip.
