Well, often times it doesn't. Most times, love is not enough.

What's funny to me is the only real SJW I've met was from the northeast. Came to New Orleans for school. She came from a very well off family but has been indoctrinated into the regressive left movement. Once she decided to take a side on the statue situation I was done.

Right when Bernie started becoming popular to SJWs, my ex that was in a sorority suddenly started cucking it up. So I broke up with her. Idgaf that it was the day after Christmas. I needed to get the frick away. She literally gave no shits about politics. Then one day she started bitching about wage gaps. Then it was about how blacks don't have the same rights as whites. The full package really. Looks don't matter when a girl is psycho as hell. Life lesson learned.

Also, don't date a sorority chick. Because then her friends become off limits* due to the "sister code"

*Not 100% true. But for the most part

Haha she is in a sorority. Already had relations with one of her sisters she was also a liberal. That whole sorority is fricked.

I've never voted for a democrat or a republican, so I'd be really narrowing down the pool of women if I did.

So, no is the answer.

Yeah I guess when it gets down to it, I couldn't date someone that makes everything about politics and won't shut up about it, regardless of whether they lean left or right. Believe what you believe and that's fine as long as you aren't a dick about it and know when politics have nothing to do with a situation.

yes, but it depends on personalities

like i could date a liberal girl for sure, but if she was the dismissive sort of progressive who will only engage in a political discussion if she gets to talk and opposing viewpoints are dismissed (for whatever progressive rhetoric tactic is being used) then that would become...frustrating

that's more of just a typical personality thing than a political thing

Date yes. I'm not that into politics. Couldn't spend the rest of my life with it, but I have dated a couple of liberal girls that were good at sex.

Why would that come up while you're banging?

Never heard of anyone divorcing because of irreconcilable political views.

My wife and I don't agree on a lot of political things. We just don't talk about hot topic issues

I can't imagine marrying someone that I don't talk about politics with. That's a big part of intellectual compatibility, in my opinion. But I'm a big nerd and like talking about politics and world events, so maybe that's just personal taste.

edit: to answer the question, yes, I've dated a conservative woman before, and it was fine. But she had a Bachelor's and Master's in economics, stayed informed, was generally well-rounded in her education, and was otherwise very intelligent. We disagreed on several issues, but she was somewhat socially liberal, so we had some common ground. The most important thing is that we could talk about our disagreements and about current events respectfully and learn from each other, even if we didn't change each other's minds. We aren't together anymore, but we're very good friends.

Any girl who says she doesn't read or has not even a little interest in worldly affairs is a no go for me. At least for dating, I've banged some pretty dumb chicks.

im a gun toter, my ex wife is a blue dot in a red state. We argue all the time about politics but we dont take it personally and it had nothing to do with why we divorced. Hell, we are mostly still together now, we just live separately and arent married anymore. We been together on and off since I was 17 and im 37 now so I guess thats a yes.

Yes. I consider myself a moderate, but I could date a liberal or conservative as long as they were not an extremist in either directions.

Also, would hinge on their willingness to at least listen to other views and appreciate people having opposing views, even if they don't necessarily agree with them.

It didn't. Do yourself a favor and don't talk politics to a woman while she's changing.

Depends mostly on how important that is to the two of you. I suspect it would be more difficult for a real partisan to get along with a moderate than for two partisans of opposite sides.
