Word that it could've been an EF 4+ when it hit there.
Hard to say what the rating/strength was until the National Weather Service can get their survey teams out there.

For believing in what's going on in our climate? Wow.
The south has never had destructive tornadoes in March until just recently

Nashville news 5 just showed helicopter footage from Putnam county and it's incredible. Looks to have been much more powerful than the Nashville area touchdown.
Houses just look like they were bombed from the inside. Nothing left, ground just cleared.
I'll try to find the footage online.

That's probably going to be on the high end of the EF scale.

Anyone remember all the global warming crap after the 2005 hurricane season and how it was just gonna get worse?
Pepperidge Farms remembers.

What am I looking at? The car that’s parked at the second building?

The Lee County Tornado. It was a year ago today.

My brother in law, his wife and my nephew live in Thompson Station, so thankful it wasn’t near them. I do have a friend that lives in the city and she’s safe.
Seems meaningless people around here are talking about quarter sized hail they got when others got worse. My weather radio went off all night last night. Nashville is about a two hour drive from here. It’s the fastest growing city in the country and I just pray for them.

My Daughter lives in downtown right near the Gulch area. She got the warning on her phone about 8 minutes before the tornado hit. Luckily for her it was about 15 to 20 blocks to the north of her area. Said the lightning was the most amazing thing she had ever seen. Said it was instantaneous for about 10 minutes. Very scary.

Survey results so far: Mount Juliet (Wilson), at least EF-3 damage (155-160 mph). Donelson (Davidson), at least EF-3 damage (160-165 mph). This is just damage observed in these neighborhoods and it might possibly be the same tornado.

Yeah, that's what woke me up last night. We're in Franklin so 15-20 miles south of the tornado, but that lightening show was surreal and went on for a pretty good while.
