I'd say yes considering the queen is apparently fricking immortal
My wife and I were just talking about this recently. Pretty sure her, roaches, and Twinkie’s will be all that’s left after WW3

Well, in the case of Charles, it's because he's a clown show.
William I might be a little too hard on. He might not be as clownish as his dad. But Elizabeth II's death is likely to be the beginning of a fervent push amongst people allied with British Republicanism (Labour, Liberal-Democrats, etc.) to push for the abolition of the monarchy.
Hopefully they don’t do it. That would replicate them to really nothing more than Europeans. The British crown is such a great tradition. It really is what so much is the world associates England with. An England without the crown is simply uninspiring.

The royal family is the Brit version of the Kardashians.

Only a Mexican breakfast compares, but if you're poor, life in us ^ uk

The Brits have the right idea separating the head of state role away from the head of government.
Prime Ministers come and go and do the dirty work of governing and enacting the political desires a majority of the public wants done but the King or Queen is the never changing face and symbol of the country that unites all tribes whether it be political, class, religious or ethnic. They unite behind that.
I wish something like that was possible here in America. The "not my President nonsense" in 2016 is a great example of how giving both roles to POTUS can be problematic.
It is what makes American politics so difficult to understand for Brits. Brits are not familiar with checks in balances between 3 branches of government.
In the UK, Parliament, and by that I strictly mean the House of Commons, has final say in all governmental matters. Simple majority every election determines national policy.
It's bizarre to most Brits that Congress has so many obstacles in the way of getting legislation passed.

Yes I’ve been several times. I mean the life of a typical American is pretty shitty. I’m not trying to sound judgmental. We just distract ourselves with Reps vs Dems. They distract themselves with adulation of the Royal family.

On top of everything, Brits also have to navigate that concept that each of the individual 50 states are sovereign equals with the federal government, and policy is intended to be made at the state level well before a national policy is implemented.
Admitted, even for a natural born yank, the Founding Father's checks on the balances of power are quite confusing.

Gotcha. A lot of Americans are obsessed with the Royal Family too.

Was over there in March before shite hit the fan, one cab driver went on and on about his love for the Queen but went on quite the rant when talking about Andrew and the embarrassment he’s caused.
That said, frick British food! It’s fricking tasteless trash! Bastards don’t know salt and spices exist

Roast and mash with a pint would be good for your southern tastes

Unrelated, has anyone ever had a proper English breakfast?
Yep.
In college me and my buddies used to go fishing in N Ark. every once in a while. We were coming back one Sunday and the only place open was this little British restaurant called Pig N Whistle. Ordered exactly the picture you posted.

Massive. Absolutely massive. The Queen Mother had a massive crowd back in 2002 and she hadn't been Queen in 50 years.

I wonder if the younger generation still has the same affection for the crown that generations before them did?
If they do, they won’t after Charles takes over. He’s too political for contemporary English sensibilities and he’s a complete moron. As embarrassing as American media networks and politics can be...at least we won’t have to deal with that nonsense.

I worked with a Britt for five years. We went to London every few months for work. Yes, they love the Queen.

Fresh after the Brexit vote I cruised with some English colleagues. A number of the folks I met on the cruise wanted to talk about Brexit (especially the older ones) and they all made it a point to tell me how they loved the monarchy and how immensely proud they were to maintain their currency even when in the EU.
