Some of my friends and I decided to go to bourbon street in 2009 when the Saints went to the Super Bowl. Picked a bar and watched the game. We started drinking early so one of my buddies got trashed and went back to the hotel and passed out. He woke up once he heard the commotion when the Saints won. He decided to come back to bourbon street so he called me. I finally found him and we turn around and start walking back to the bar to celebrate and some dumbass starts popping off rounds. My buddy next to me got hit in the ankle and I caught a small fragment in the shin. It was packed that night and there were a couple other people that got hit as well. Nothing life threatening though.

I guess this technically counts...

A buddy of mine and I were at a bonfire that was his going away party back home before he deployed to Afghanistan and his dumb drunk arse was throwing empty boxes from the back of his truck into the fire. One of the boxes had a few shotgun shells in it and they cooked off. I got hit in the left wrist/hand and in the neck. I was lucky, if I didn't have my hand up by my neck most of the spread would have went into my neck and I would have bled out.

I didn't read the OP because it was long and the 2-21 record made it seem not worth it. Anyway, I do have a somewhat relevant story. My dad was shot a few times on his way back from combat in the Pacific in WWII. A gun malfunctioned (or someone was an idiot) and quite a few took bullets. No one died, as most were hit by bullets that had ricocheted off other objects before hitting people and everyone had a chance to cover themselves so they got hit in the arms and not the head or vital organs. But he had a bullet work its way out of his arm as late as the 1980s.

Had a cousin (by marriage) that was cleaning his hunting rifle (don't remember the caliber) and like an idiot he didn't check the chamber. Shot himself in the femoral artery. His buddy that was next to him said that blood was spurting several feet across the room.

He is very lucky to be alive.

It is "used to" as in he used to bring her not use to. Unfortunately, I opened the thread to down vote you, but read it anyway.

Yeah, well if we are talking about being shot with BB guns, I can put my name on the list. That shite hurts, but I got pegged a few times.

I asked a buddy of mine this question once, he's the drummer for Warren Haynes/Dirty Dozen/Ani Defranco and he grew up in the Desire Projects. I was shocked because a guy I knew was murdered, He knew like over a hundred people that had been murdered and laughed at me. Depends on if you came up in the mean streets of Woodland Ridge or the hood, I guess.

Here's THig, my boi for 30 years for anybody who appreciates drums:
