For those that don’t know, there is a “social narrative” that goes like this…
-white people, and upper class people, do not use wash cloths
-black people, and poorer people, use wash cloths
I was not aware of this until last night, but a little googling has me kind of up-to-speed on this conversation, which I find fascinating.
Hence, my original post to inquire.

Use one for my arse or if I'm pretty dirty I'll scrub with one. Use my hands/bar of sop/body wash for the rest of my body.

I have never heard that. Is there some background story on that? What did upper class people use? Or does it not count if someone else scrubs you with a cloth royalty/bather style?

I said in OP… and this conversation with my friend last night is absolutely a true story. This is something I have never even thought of before. I fully admit I DO NOT use a wash cloth in the shower. Maybe I’m wrong or right but I don’t

Europeans do not use washcloths but I am not sure that being poor or black is a factor.
Who doesn't wash their legs and feet is more disturbing. I like the - you just washing the top half of your body with body wash and calling it good?- comment.
