Not technically an active member that has been initiated. But in every LEGAL and DISCIPLINARY way-a member. If a pledge does something it falls on the Chapter and National organization. That's why you have to be really careful during Rush.

SAE got 2 years for a pledge doing something stupid...will KA get the same treatment from Guillory and that fairy boy Sanders?

Yes and the fraternity should not be disciplined for his action.
Sadly not the way it works. He was at the KA house, a KA pledge (potentially), got drunk at KA on alcohol possibly provided by KA. There will be some repercussions. Hopefully nothing too serious though (for KA).
ETA: Hopefully nothing too serious for KA. This kid can GFH.

The Daily Reveille reported that Long is a freshman at LSU studying business administration.
WAS a freshman at LSU studying business administration.
They're gonna have to kick him out of school if only for his own safety.

Sanders and Guillory will most likely conduct a membership review (their favorite pastime), drug test everyone, etc. I expect some actives will be lost to Sanders and Guillory. Fairly sure this is their standard protocol when anything happens in a chapter. Lots of guys get lost to unrelated activities (drug use, etc)

ERs are disgusting. I hope nothing ever requires me to go to one. I'll bleed out before I sit in that.
The easy solution to that is not to go to the hospitals frequented by poors.

I'm actually a pretty big fan of kicking people out of school for stuff like this. Especially at Alabama the past few years there have been tons of stories of a bunch of guys ganging up on one kid, the whole Tutweiler threat guys last year, and including the football players beating that kid up for their student ID. Kick these kids out of school. Better luck elsewhere college isn't a right.

You nailed it.
My guess would be thrown off campus though. Seriously. Not exaggerating.
They will portray it as a reflection of "KA culture" and toss them for a year.
Because they can.

Have to. They already established a precedent for unitiated pledges doing stupid shite

Right now it's all speculation. I'm going to just wait until the journalist from the Reveille, who wrote those brilliant "fraternity rape culture" articles, tells me how I should feel about this.
For real though, I feel for KA. These types of guys usually start to show their true colors early on (usually not like this, though) and don't make it through rush. Sucks that they will probably get the wood for this little shite.

the OT is going to hammer you in the same light as him. The OT doesn't take kindly to bitches beating around the story.

more likely that KA gets sued over the incident than him

In the end KA's insurance company pays for her medical bills and she gets some money for pain and suffering. The guy will have problems in criminal court.
