Absolute case of idiots running the asylum.

The OT needs to show up at the next school board meeting and ask some questions (within the proper guidelines, of course).

My wife is a teacher and she’s 100% against this. Virtual learning is hard on the teacher just as much as on the student.

Just saw Oklahoma is going back to remote learning. It'll start spreading soon, everyone with kids get ready.

This shite will never end

This teacher is 350lbs on a good day. No wonder she's scared.

I don't know about "Covid shortages," but I do know for a fact that EBR has had significant shortages at all levels over the past two school years.

They're quietly having to shutdown schools in order to fix staffing issues.

So glad I left that shitshow. The new superintendent has run off a lot of good educators from those schools with the way he runs things.

It's simple, you put the positive teachers in the classroom with the positive students.

not if what this is really about is teachers just being so burnt out between winter and spring break....which is probably exactly what this is.

On another note, one of my kids came home to report that 1/2 of one of his classes was absent and there were apparently only 2 teachers in one grade at school today.

With mass prevalence of the coco rona and the absurd quarantine requirements due to exposure, we're about to see some legit staffing shortages. You can't run a school when you don't have enough subs.

This is misleading

A few select schools are going virtual because they literally don’t have enough staff to run the school due to quarantine. They are moving teachers around from different schools the best they can to keep as many open in person as possible

Liberal Chicago balked at their teaches and refuse to go virtual. For whatever reason Dems wised up and know that doing virtual school is a losing ticket

As for Oklahoma, it is the most conservative state in the union. I promise you they are not going virtual anytime soon

Wouldn't it be cool if Covid was the straw that broke the back of the broken public school system. It won't, because parents just want free daycare while mom goes out to grab that 2nd income, but man, it would be nice to break up the government's socialist indoctrination pipeline.

Yeah let’s just mess up kid’s social skills, learning abilities, and developmental milestones even more.

This is a nightmare.

I taught in EBR, and it was a frickin nightmare. My students were easily two or three grade levels behind on basic skills.
