posted this here before, long story but I'll give thumbnails, was fishing in the Bahamas years ago with some friends, everyone on the boat except me were childhood friends, we took a break from fishing one day to do some diving/spear fishing, one of the guys(a professional diver who owned a diving company in NYC,) surfaced about 100yds. away from the boat and was calling for help, we couldn't make out what he was saying(shark maybe?) two of his lifelong buddies on the boat just froze and I took the life ring and jumped in and went and brought him back to the boat, he ways pretty grateful and I almost drowned while trying to get him back to the boat
Lol ok?

Being quarantined in your house like the government wants you to be?
Your dumbass does realize there is a huge gulf between "quarantined in your house" and swimming with fricking sharks, right?
Now, shut the frick up.

That beach/bay looks pretty small, guarded and calm.
Crazy that a 14 footer was prowling around in there.

TD has become like that old movie Faces Of Death..
First we got to see some dude get his skull crushed by a Tahoe in New York, then some street thugs get creamed by a car, now some dude getting eaten by a shark...
You're right. It's disgusting. By the way, do you happen to have a link to the "some dude get his skull crushed by a Tahoe in New York" video? A friend was asking about it. A disgusting friend.

Recently learned Australia has a lot of saltwater crocodiles as well. Scary arse place to be in the water.
Then you find out about all their venomous snakes and spiders in the bush...

I used to live near the Jupiter(FL,) inlet, when the tide was either coming in or going out we'd go out to catch live bait if we were going fishing, on the fish finder we could see representatives from just about all of the ocean's food chain there to get something to eat

This is actually shocking to me.

Poor shark, here he was giving a Darwin award to someone swimming in prime great white area and he is going to end up dying from myocarditis with a side of blood clots.
The clotting is why the swimmer stayed alive for so long.

Not sure if they still do but they use to string miles of nets across their beaches, killed millions of sharks.
Posted on 2/16/22 at 12:16 pm to Mr Personality
honestly, that looks like the worst place to swim

taking an afternoon swim
If you look at the video, Google Maps, and some Australian news, this "swim" was off Buchan Point 600 yds to the north of the beach. Open water swimming alone, with extremely treacherous waves, rocks, and obviously marine creatures?
Darwin?

Your chances are low, but never zero….

as it turned out, and I was a bit pissed at this because I definitely put myself in harms way, he had rented some shitty gear in the Bahamas and was having problems with the regulator or something and had to surface but didn't want to shed any gear and have to pay for it(he almost pad for it with his and my lives,) so he was having trouble keeping his head above water with all of the scuba gear, including weights, on, water was very choppy, it was windy, and there was quite a strong current, I just wasn't going to sit on the boat and watch somebody drown without at least trying to help him
The guy who owns a dive company was renting gear?

Gotta watch out for Nibbles and Bitey when you're at the beach.

It's ok. You can take your mask off when you eat.
