This is what scares me. When you notify a cop you have a CHL most are cool about it because they know you cleared a background check and are not a felon. However their are a few out there that react in a negative manner and treat you like a criminal.

I agree with just about everything you said. I don't think this was a Kkk style execution, but a poorly trained police officer with some predisposed notions along racial lines.
Quick story from my high school days:
Friend and I (both white girls) had just turned 16 and were driving in her new car (also had weed in the car). She got pulled over because her lights were not on. She was so scared and stupid that as soon as she got pulled over she jumped out of the car and started rushing towards the cop to explain her story even though he told her to stay. Guess what? Nothing happened. She didn't get shot for rushing towards his car, didn't even get a ticket.
Your an idiot if you think that would have been the same situation if she was a black guy. That is what I think of when I hear white privilege. When we make a mistake we usually don't pay for it with our lives.
