Lyudmila Pavlichenko who, by the end of World War II, was creditied with 309 kills, making her the most successful female sniper in history.

Pavlichenko was among the first to volunteer after the German invasion of the USSR, and she was assigned to the Red Army's 25th Rifle Division. She made her first kills at Belyayevka. Most of her remaining kills were made near Odessa.

Of the 2,000 female snipers in the Red Army, only 500 lived to see the war's end.

Pavlichenko died in 1974.

Fantastic work being done there. I consider myself a pretty decent "color change artist"... but it's a whole different level when it comes to restoring color to black and white photos. The file sizes get massive pretty quick.... and you need an EXTENSIVE database for all the textures you encounter (some of which are VERY difficult to recreate without 1st hand knowledge). All the fabrics, building materials... even the specific qualities of the dirt and grime.... All require meticulous attention.

Tell you what - Seeing stuff like this makes me want to challenge myself again.

This should be on canvas. Oddly reminds me of Giger and Rembrandt.

Like hes part of the fricking machine.
