re: Give me a reason to go to these states

I was trying to think of the shittiest place in each of those states I'd been to.
(And to be fair to Toledo, their projects are ghetto as frick but their all nude strip club was surprisingly awesome)
If I were to give a serious answer to the OP, with only states I'd been to, I'd say:
Ohio: the women, Midwestern girls may not be the hottest but they are the most fun, and pretty cute
Michigan: Monroe, it is only a 30 minute drive to the best titty bar in Toledo. Traverse City is pretty awesome too.
New Mexico: the green chile, the big skies and endless horizons, and the Sangre de Cristos.
Montana: the skies are BIG and BLUE, the parks are some of the best in the world, Bozeman, Missoula, and Whitefish are all great. I hear the fishing is okay too.

Balloon Fiesta starts in Albuquerque this weekend. Very cool to see if you've never been.

You talking about Platinum or Alcatraz? I know you're not talking about Deja Vu.

I don't know if I commented on this but Oregon and Montana are physically awesome, upper Michigan also is the right time of the year, and the SW corner of SD has a lot of things packed into a fairly small area.

Michigan is great in the fall, and I had a couple of awesome fishing trips there. I can't speak to the rest of your list.

Agree that Michigan is a pretty state in the summer/fall. God golfing if you’re into that, and the lakes are beautiful. Traverse City, Mackinaw Island, and most anywhere in the upper peninsula are lovely.

Vacationed a couple of summers up there when I was a kid. Coworker has houses in Traverse City and on Drummond Island. He used to manage resorts up there.

I grew up in Michigan. I’d never move back, but I have fond memories of going up north to TC or Mackinaw in the summer. I still love going to Grand Haven/Lake Michigan on the west side of the state when I go visit.

Cut to the chase...
All of the states you listed are some of the best states to go on scenic drives, camping, anything outdoors and spend time with your kids. If you honestly can't think of any reason to go to these states then you've probably never spent a day in your life outside of the city and I'm sorry you've had such a sheltered miserable life.
For me, my pride in my own country makes me want to visit every state for a good vacation before I die.

So did my wife. I always check out a new area on an annual visit up there, and haven't found a bad place yet. I always find a place to fish (the water is so freaking clean!), and took in a Spartan game a couple of years ago with the BIL.
Believe it or not, I found a pretty damn decent Cajun restaurant up there in Owosso, called Lula's. Saw a couple of LSU flags flying here and there too. Not sure if they're still up.

The Ohio state library on campus is awesome.
Nebraska has Kearney yamaha. It has an insane collection of vintage ATVs.
South and North Dakota I've never been to
New Mexico has some cook high plains and petrified forests.
frick Oregon. Can't pump your own gas.
Montana has national parks worth the Drive.
Michigan... I've driven there five or six times for work. It's a shite hole.

Where's Kansas in that list of shitty states. Montana, Oregon, New Mexico, and Michigan are beautiful areas.

Honestly if you have never been to the desert Southwest your are missing out. Just renting a car and driving about an hour outside of any major city, and look up. You will be amazed at the amount of stars in the sky, and absolute silence.
