Old man disease is real. I’m up normally without alarm at 5 AM. To milk the cows, feed the chickens, start the day. I’m an accountant who lives in the city and doesn’t need to do any of those things. So I walk the dog, exercise, or do what I want while the rest of my family sleeps like babies.
I cannot fathom sleeping in without the aid of medication. Men who sleep in…are not real men.

Every morning?
Nah man. I get up at 6-6:15 every work day, and on weekends we "sleep in" til 7.
Your neighbor is dumb to ask for you to wait til 10am, though. After 8am is fair game, imo.

I don’t care when other men wake up. Manliness levels are not affected by when a man wakes up.
I agree you have every right to cut your grass when you see fit, but common courtesy, especially if you live in a neighborhood, dictates it should be done no earlier than 8 or 9 AM on the weekends.

Honestly you need some sun to evaporate the morning dew, or else cutting and edging is a bitch. Just deal with the heat closer to noon. It’s not like you’re slaving away for hours. You’re either riding a lawn mower or half a self propelled push mower.

Why do you do that?
When I lived in La, it was usually because we had a day full of stuff planned, and it gets warm early.
I wasn't going to plan my day around people that just want to sleep in.

So he’s so much of a man that he wakes up early but can’t handle 9am heat lol????

It wasn't bad. It clumps a bit, but dries. As long as the grass isn't really deep, it exits the mower just fine. Sure beats mowing at noon.

I like to cut my grass a little higher than others, 2.5-3”. I think it looks more lush and feels better on my feet. That’s why I actually like to cut in the afternoon/evening before it rains. Allows my grass to dry, doesn’t put the fresh cut grass in the most brutal sunlight.
frick I’m getting old, I have a grass cutting strategy!!!!!!

Pretty dang hot at 10. I’m sure he does not realize what it is like to cut grass at that time.

No Slick, it’s called I’m up at 04:30 every weekday morning. I’m glad if I can sleep till or past 06:00 on the weekend.
You try way too hard when you post. What’s the insecurity?

this might be the dumbest thread of the day.

As someone who works shift, I agree. If its an issue, wear ear plugs to sleep. When I come in from workings nights, a mower has no shot to wake me up before 10.

I'm sure it's unbearable riding your zero turn in the hot mid-morning sun.
Quit being a pussy or mount an umbrella on the mower to shade you.

In my previous career I slept late on the weekends because I was stressed all week and didn't really sleep during the week. Was up at 5 Monday through Friday.
Now I don't get up until 8 during the week but also get up at 8 on the weekends.
Either way, frick you for telling me when to wake up.
