Either
A: his story is true (minus the blacking out and killing her like he will plead)
B: wanted more than he got and got pissed
C: He got off on doing it and figured nobody would miss a sex worker

Nah, I think he was just her boyfriend, and he either didn't care about what she did, or convinced himself that he didn't care what she did. I've known guys in similar circumstances.
