All the women I went to high school with that still live in the Denham area are freaked out.
Not speaking ill of the dead and not saying she deserved to die, but it's tough to hear "IT COULD HAPPEN TO ANYONE!!!" when she went to the dudes house and apparently negotiated some sex.

There's still people all over my Facebook feed that still don't believe. If I was a real a-hole I could post screenshots in those posts, buts its crazy to see people just ignore the facts at this point

Most of them are bored mothers posting all of these pictures and feel good statuses about their kids. They want to think their opinion, and ultimately their life, matter. It's another form of attention seeking behavior.

I have never slept with someone on the first date, or a rando I just met so I wouldn't know. I wasn't trying to slut shame or any of that jazz, I'm just saying Facebook mom's pulling a Nancy Grace out of their arse when it's obvious some high risk choices were made is comical at best, and dangerous at most.

The whole story seems to be changing directions since the news of the murder itself first broke. The pieces of the puzzle are coming together a bit. It is a damn shame. She was a beautiful young girl, who could have surely done better. That said, as a parent of adult children, I have to feel for her parents right now as they are dealing with the loss of their daughter, and learning some not so good things at the same time.
Regardless of the defendant's story, it still does not justify his killing her. If true, throw her out of the house and lock the door, perhaps. Like a few other posters, either the deal went sour and he snapped, or this wasn't his first rodeo, which would make one want to look into investigating any other unexplained disappearances. Then again, depending upon how long this guy lived there, the bodies - if any - might not be on his property, provided there were others.
Just a sad story all the way around. The guy definitely deserves substantial jail time. Hopefully, the charge will stay at second degree murder and not drop to manslaughter.

I know, as for as anyone other than the families, it really doesn't matter what happened. A trash dude murdered a woman, but that doesn't mean she she didn't have bad intentions when she decided to go there.

I mean... the details are out. Seems like a fairly easy conviction on second degree. I don't see them reducing but I'm no criminal attorney
