that wasn’t my ‘car door’ fwiw
That thing won’t put a dent in your pants, so I’m not worried about the car

Why are there so many people randomly sitting in their cars in parking lots these days? Seems like every time I go to Rousse's, there are at least 5 cars with people simply sitting in them.

Dude, that sucks. I’m sorry that happened. Luckily it didn’t go through the windshield and hurt her.
yeah it does, thanks, pain in the arse but as long as she wasn't hurt, it's just metal and plastic, it can be fixed

my wife just got the same car as your new one, I think, don't think it even has 2k miles on it yet, she was coming home from work last week and a truck kicked up or had a 2x4 fly off it and hit her car, $3k , the headlight cost almost $1300

no, there wasn't a drink holder for my drink in the cockpit

Since it is the poor design of the parking lots everyone must be hitting doors? Or you’re such a fatty you need lots of space

You probably hit the co pilot trying to get out of your seat

more like most people are lazy, oblivious, self-centered, careless, azzholes and aren't cognizant of their surroundings nor considerate of other people's property

I know this board makes fun of women constantly
But in the past 6 months I have met a plethora of men that have zero situational awareness that it’s got to be in the water or something
Or they’re using their wife’s body wash

my truck door has touched (not slammed) the car next to me while I was getting in.
Its because of jerkoffs like you why I park away from other vehicles, regardless of how big or small the parking spots are. I would have been pissed too, if your truck door tapped my truck. It doesn't take much to leave a ding, and if you were to leave a ding, you know damn well you wouldn't take responsibility for it, you trash.

Some people drop off a shopper and sit and idle their engines for 30+ mins. See it all the time as I come and go “make groceries”.

they called you and a-hole because you are indeed.....an a-hole.

I always park further away and walk, I don't want anyone hitting my doors.

I really like when they do that and park in the fire lane in front of the store

What am I missing here? I'm all for not parking close to other vehicles, and I don't' mind walking, but a plastic/rubber edge guard (around the perimeter of your door) would help prevent scratching an adjacent vehicle. If that touches the side of someone's vehicle, it shouldn't cause a problem.
The problem that can't be avoided is people parking too close to you when your vehicle is well within the space. I don't have any sympathy if I have to touch the side of their vehicle with my door if they parked much too close to me.
