I park in a garage at home, and the place I keep it in the console is never exposed to direct sunlight. When I had to park my truck in a driveway, I could never leave it in there, or it would melt, which is which I started putting it in my right pocket, which resulted in repeated dryer sacrificies. The worst part about that is getting the chapstick out of, invariably, the most expensive shirt that was in that particular load of laundry.
Save this tragic narrative for posting in the next “First World Problems” thread.

OP: I never need lip balm while I’m in our swamp arse latitudes.

When I travel to elevation, I need it there but don’t use it.

Beside the bed chapstick and purse chapstick get finished. If it is in my car, it either melts or gets stolen by someone in the family.

Yes, then use a toothpick to dig the excess that won't rise to the top. Never waste anything.

Yes. When I was a kid growing up in the Key West heat. Our lips stayed chapped from the heat, and wind

I go through chapstick at an alarming rate. It’s a crippling addiction.

I’ve used up Carmex jar but I don’t think I’ve ever finished a stick of chapstick. The sticks always disappear.

If I make it through a week with it I consider myself lucky
I very seldom have found myself with chapped lips / I guess I’m lucky

Are people stealing chapstick or you losing them? Stealing a coworkers chapstick is disgusting

I don't even remember the last time I had chapped lips.

Definitely been lucky in that regard.

I have.

I even use a paper clip to get the part that ends up at the bottom.

If it melts and stays in the container and doesn't drip all over your vehicle, stand it up in the freezer.

Just like new.

Absolutely a law of chapstick physics: that before being completely used it will be left in a pocket and washed.
