Slavery ended two centuries ago. Anybody still butthurt about plantations existing as historical sites can get fricked.

152 years actually if we're counting post CiviL War.

It's somewhat close, and I still get your point. However I think alot of people on this website don't have the best frame of reference from slavery to Civil Rights to modern day. It actually wasn't THAT long ago.

Racism lies in the hearts of the people, not a building.

How did you even find this article? It's some random 20 year old white skank's blog entry on an site for a "magazine" no one has ever heard of.

Also, her saying "I don't do events at Kendall Plantation because I'm black" is a crock of shite too. Blackness doesn't stop you from making money off a plantation wedding. Being a miserable attention whore is what's stopping you.

Wouldn't that be revenge?

Imagine how the slaveowners would feel knowing a black woman was using the plantation house for profit.

Of course it does, but people like the author say that a certain building is a physical manifestation of that hate therefore anyone associated with it is literally Hitler.

The author might have an aneurysm if someone told her about what we (KA's) would do during Old South week back in the day.

The original photo for this article was from a local photographer in LA, Mark Eric, and was used without his consent. He blasted this broad yesterday on Social Media about stealing his photo and how ridiculous this article was. It looks like they took down the picture, but unfortunately the article still exists.

Talk about someone needing to be monitored for racism. Though I guess it could have a secondary context. Waiting on the OT sleuths to find her insta to decide if I'm triggered or turned on with her choice of verbiage.

I'd take her up to the big house for the weekend. Explore, drink, shoot guns, frick her brains out. Then as were leaving, make a pass by the two falling apart slave quarters just to see her reaction. No matter what she says online, every chick LOVES a "romantic" weekend at a plantation home.

Wouldn't the biggest to the old plantations owners actually a black couple having their wedding there? I'm sure those old racist slave owners would be rolling over in their grave if they knew a huge black party was being held at their old house.

I seriously doubt she has much experience with black people, or plantation homes for that matter.

If she was writing on some racist shite against mexicans I'd be more inclined to believe she was writing for firsthand experience.

I mean Arizona's total AA population is less than 4% black Arizona demographics

My Hispanic girlfriend said one day she wants to get married at a plantation. Do we get a pass or still racist? Need a judgment my white privilege doesn't let me correctly assess the situation.

We actually had a black couple who works for my grandpa ask to and eventually got married on the front porch of our plantation home bout 10 years ago.

But yeah, I'd assume the old bones rattled and turned over that day people just look for shite to be offended by.

Having lived in southern AZ for 7 years, I can assure you the black population there is a statistical zero. I did learn one thing, though. You know who really hates black people more than anyone? Mexicans.
