Big Deaf and Blind has been peddling a false narrative onto the masses for years. You're telling me that someone, let alone a woman, was rendered blind and deaf at one-year-old and then somehow learned how to write, do sign language, write books, etc. It wasn't like she became blind and deaf later on in life and already knew how to do these things.
Have you ever met a one-year-old? You can look them in the eye and speak to them from the heart, and they can't do anything more than stare blankly back at you and shite their pants. Yet, I am supposed to believe that she was able to understand everything without ever conceptualizing it? Listen, I was born, but it wasn't yesterday.
This was nothing more than a Weekend at Bernie's type deal where she was puppetted around and given credit for things she couldn't possibly do. This whole thing stinks to high heaven and its about time that someone does something about it.
Is this an April's Fools joke or are you SirWinston's austitic transgender boyfriend?

If you grew up in Alabama this was definitely true. She’s revered like a god here.

Roses are black.
Violets are black.
Sugar is black.
Helen Keller said that.

The language centers of the brain have to develop at an early age. It's no different than visual centers. There's a window of opportunity for those things to develop. If the window is missed, it's impossible to learn.
By that argument, you can never learn a second language after being a toddler.
What you say is true for certain fundamental elements. But reports are (and this was before knowing how important milestones are) that she was far in the bell curve of development.

Do not come in here with logic and shite... This thread has potential

You forgot dumb/dull
Posted on 4/1/26 at 1:18 pm to Volvagia
And who made these so called "reports"? Her handlers? I bet Hellen Keller's parents didn't even introduce her to baby-led weaning, let alone conduct an intelligence test to her at the ripe age of one-year-old.

(And I know you are trolling…but don’t care
)
19 months =! 1 year old, especially when talking about milestones.

If you asked her parents how old she was, they would say one-year-old. They were not up to date on the cool new age lingo that we have today. And the only milestone that anyone cared about back then was surviving infancy. No way did anyone take the time to measure IQ of some random girl
