The market matters too. $200k in Manhattan is $84k in BR.

$130,000 - Law . Company vehicle, healthy 401k, and $15,000 annual bonus. Hoping to make partner by year 7.
BUT, I'm also in Chicago…so it evens out.

Experience
Yes. Animal experience - in a lab, at a vet hospital, large animal, small animal, exotics. Any and all of it are what they wanna see. My experience, among other thigns, helped me a lot. I had assisting/technician work experience with many different types of wildlife as well as domestic large animal, small animal, and some lab/research work too.

For security I've seen anywhere from 50 - 90k a year. Depends on the company. I'm going to try for Gulfstream

That's quite a range there. I assume you're talking GI endoscopy? Why would you be doing lots of derm and running an endoscope?

True - that's one of the hot specialties right now. I started out at like 38k in Lafayette as a lowly software developer, writing code about 12 hours a day. Of course, I had no kids at the time, and things were much cheaper all around back then. Now I'm doing well as an IT department manager. But it was a process of changing jobs about 4 times, always moving into higher pay levels.

Your comment is pretty off base. Know LSU guys and gals at some of the biggest bluge brackets and elite boutiques in the top coverage groups (M&A, nat res, TMT, etc).
While LSU certainly does not mint bankers like some schools do, there are LSU grads in great spots on WS.

Standard scope of your primary care fields. Peds, IM, and FM.,.guess you can toss gen surg in, too... all encompass this range.

First year out of LSU, I took in a little bit more than the expenses.

Family practice. Rural area with limited specialist access. It's part of our training if you choose to do the work. I did over 2000 scopes(GI) during my residency. Even as a resident I'd get consulted by private docs for urgent scopes. I can deliver babies, work ER, ENT scope etc.
