Nope, just her and one other.
I'm not sure who you are talking about. That's probably because I'm thinking of three without even trying that had rumors about them.
Regardless, isn't it a bit odd that 25 years after this alleged "misconduct," and after all those rumors, now she is fired?

I wrestled in high school about 17 years ago.
You Holy Cross guys were an interesting bunch.
Never seen a Head Coach emasculate a team like he did.
No shite, everyone was was banging this broad.
I'm thinking a lil cuckold action, Hot Wife?

Like I said, rumors. We also don't know what has come to light. The story says nothing.

Did any of you alums get the e-mail? It might shed some more light on the situation.
And, while I'm not an alum, I had quite a few friends go to HC and even I heard the rumors for years. This might have been one of the most well known "secrets" in the Catholic League.

The article contains all of the information in the e-mail.

The email said the exact same thing as the article. Very brief.

Happened 25 years ago? No statute of limitations on banging a student?
I doubt there were any laws against it back then. This is a recent phenomenon.

Wow. She was my environmental science teacher when I went there. No way I would suspect that from her. Though there were rumors of other female teachers banging upper classman football players and coaches. This alleged incident happened before I went there.

allegedly? 25 years ago?
How about investigation?

I don't know what years you went to HC but i was there from '88-'96 and there were rumors the entire time I was there about her. She's a great teacher and a nice person and all but she put herself in some baaaad positions with all of her out of town/overnight club trips. I also find it extra funny now that her club was named Project Fur. I bet it was amirite???

Kinda funny that her name is Sue Lyons, and the actress who played Lolita in Kubrick's film was Sue Lyon...

Why do I get the feeling that these relationships are increasing? I know it happened 25 years ago, but it just seems like this happens more and more.
Does anyone have any idea on the trend with teacher-student relationships over the years?
Well the population is much higher now so that has something to do worth it. Mostly it seems like there are more b/c the internet and 24/7 cable news did not exist in the way they do now.

Being a science teacher at a Catholic school has to be easiest job ever. you dont have formulas and evolution to teach so why cant a teacher go scissor and lick some snatch
Are you fricking retarded, don't know anyone who ever went to a Catholic School(in fricking Louisiana of all places) or have no clue about the Catholic Church?
quote:
the 1950 encyclical Humani generis, Pope Pius XII confirmed that there is no intrinsic conflict between Christianity and the theory of evolution, provided that Christians believe that the individual soul is a direct creation by God and not the product of purely material forces
quote:
Theistic evolution, theistic evolutionism or evolutionary creationism are views that regard religious teachings about God as compatible with modern scientific understanding about biological evolution. Theistic evolution is not a scientific theory, but a range of views about how the science of general evolution relates to religious beliefs in contrast to special creation views.
Supporters of theistic evolution generally harmonize evolutionary thought with belief in God, rejecting the conflict thesis regarding the relationship between religion and science – they hold that religious teachings about creation and scientific theories of evolution need not contradict each other
quote:
Among Catholic contributors to the development of evolutionary theory were, the Jesuit educated French scientist Jean-Baptiste Lamarck (1744-1829) and the Augustinian monk Gregor Mendel (1822-1884). Lamarck developed Lamarckism, the first coherent theory of evolution, proposing in Philosophie Zoologique (1809) and other works his theory of the transmutation of species and drawing a genealogical tree to show the genetic connection of organisms.[6]
Every Catholic School I know of (and I went to 12 years of Catholic School) teaches evolution.
Now Protestant schools-that's another story.

What's the name of the "alleged" victim that you are hearing? I think it's bullshite that someone can make an accusation and without any proof or investigation ruin someone's life and they stay in "hiding"...have some balls and show face and let the world know who you are!
And yes, it's sensitive subject because she's treated many students over the years as if they were her own kids and her students kids that are now at HC as her own grandkids! DiGange has some kind of witch hunt over there right now getting rid of the most loyal and well- liked HC faculty, maybe he's the one who really needs to go!
