I love when dumbasses who know nothing about what goes into premium amounts try to say they are being ripped off
I bet you think you should get your money back too if you don’t have an accident, right?

The companies still doing business in Louisiana are just raping the public. The cost is skyrocketing since some companies have pulled out of the state. I am so freaking ready to move away from this cesspool of a state.
You can thank the people that scammed the insurance companies and ended up with a new roof after Zeta/Ida because they were missing 3 shingles. No different than calling a personal injury attorney and claiming back/neck pain because someone tapped you in a fender bender. Which is funny because most of the roof scammers talk shite about the type of people that fake neck and back pain after an accident if you know what I mean.

Blame roofing companies and lawyers and homeowners making fraudulent claims.

Many insightful comments in here. And then there’s you. You add water to your water to make it more flavorful don’t ya?

These companies are in the “risk” business. The problem is, when the gamble doesn’t work in their favor it’s time to run away.

You think they should stay put and take a loss? How long you think they would remain a business if they did that?

Try the 12 tornado ravaged states, or the 10 drought states, maybe the couple earthquake states, try the 15 blue lib states with antifa. It's got to be greener grass over there right?

Where do you think the countless plaintiff attorney billboards and commercials come from OP? YOU.
OP is falling right into the “insurance companies are bad” playbook. Gordon is advertising that he’s recovered $2.5B for his clients. Billion. Coming from YOU.
Literally any and every business is in business to make money. Yet the insurance companies are the only ones who are bad, not every person who shows up with their hands out trying to squeeze every dollar out of the insurance company.
Also, vehicle prices have skyrocketed and your auto rates are fixing to go up. But the insurance company sets the car prices so it’s their fault too that they have to insure for the value of your new Z71 Tahoe.

Look at years between 2010-2019. No major hurricanes. Tropical storms mostly except for 2 minor hurricanes 75-85 mph. So, what about all those good years the insurance company made big profits. And, I do understand about needing tort reform in this state and cracking down on corrupt contractors.

Tornados/hail ravaged Georgia 2008-2012.
So much so that most insurance companies changed their claims manuals.

Monroe County, Florida gets raped by the insurance companies paying out a lot more than we get in claims. I don’t think property and health insurance should be provided by for profit companies.
