And what is the deal with trying to compete on EVs? They know we don't have the money, material, or desire to build out the electric infrastructure it would take to make EVs viable in the long term.
They're probably aware that we're not the only country in the world.

I'd love to see a redesigned Pathfinder that actually is, you know, a Pathfinder. This crossover BS, in the SUV market, isn't a good fit.

I'm glad to hear that. I've a soft spot for the Pathfinder badge, so I don't like these recent models. I seriously looked at one regardless, but ultimately chose something else that offered an MT/4wd.
Maybe what I'd really like to see is a resurrection of the Xterra. There has to be a market for actual, capable SUVs.

Just that the Frontier is oft-overlooked,
As far as I know, all of the competition is powered by turbo fours. I think the Ranger now has a Turbo 6 option...but still all turbos, none naturally aspirated.
I'm sure Nissan will eventually go that route too.
I have a 6 cyl Tacoma (fairly new). If I had to buy today I'd buy the Frontier. It's the last of a dying breed.

Nissan about to go under in less than a year. Japan told Honda they better save them.
Bankruptcy in Japan is very dishonorable, and you know what happens when Japanese do dishonorable things….

I have never ever never had a Nissan that leaked and I have had a lot of high mileage Nissans.
What are you leaking?

Honda should steer clear of the wreckage formerly known as Datsun.

I remember Honda back in the 80's and 90's being the best vehicle on the market. Seems they lost touch with the consumer and kept losing ground to Toyota. Their vehicles are so lackluster these days. Nissan builds a shitty vehicle, Why wouldn't Honda just start producing vehicles that most people want?

Nissan makes decent vehicles. They make shitty CVTs.

I've had three I-30s/I-35s, and one Q-45. The leaks were/are usually coolant leaks, but occasionally oil. My mechanic says Nissans are more leaky than Honda and Toyota.
I get great hand-me-down deals from same person on them, and do love the cars generally. But, admit the one Toyota Camry that I owned was a better car, ran like a top even well past 250K miles. And my mechanic prefers Honda over them all, though I've not yet to ever own one..maybe one day?

Are there any Chinese cars sold in the U.S?
I can’t think of any. Honda and Nissan shouldn’t have trouble here.
