I was in Walmart Real Estate in the mid 2000's. Gas stations were a loss leader. You just built them as a service and hoped the fuel would bring repeat visits to the stores and clubs. Once we started putting in the car washes, it was as close to printing money as you will find.

My local car wash will detail my tahoe for $50 and do a great job. That place is packed.

Cuz there are a ton of lazy people who don't wanna wash it themselves so they just pay to have it cleaned t a car wash. Easiest question anyones asked in a while.

My time on a weekend is more valuable than the cost of a car wash. Lazy has nothing to do with it.

I wash my car rain or shine. The undercarriage is my biggest concern.

about to say the same thing. This dude's paint must be horrible!

My truck is ceramic coated so no car washes for me. I clean my ride in the drive way.

3 year old truck. It's been washed probably 150+ times. Looks great. Zero paint issues. I'm complimented all the time at how clean my truck always looks.

Not going to tell another person how to spend their time, but washing your truck in the driveway is dumb and a waste of time.

Fixed costs are close to 0.

Operating costs are minimal.

Curious - what color is your truck?

A friend of mine owns one you drive through, he averages 250 cars a day at an average price of $12.50.

$3,000.00 a day pays a lot of bills and they are 7 days a week so do the math.
