Don't have back or chest hair and I'm 32. Guess I'm lucky.
Being less hairy than our ape-like brethren has less to do with luck than it has to do with genetic superiority via natural selection.
Cro Magnons and Neanderthals still walk amongst us, and many of them choose to conceal their more primitive genetics through various grooming techniques to better compete with our women’s selective breeding decisions. They are likely one generation removed from a double-wide. But that’s progress that we should applaud.
As we progress along the evolutionary scale, these knuckle dragging mouth breathers will continue to see their numbers decline. The market for back shaving will likely drop off in a few thousand years. But until then, we simply have to tolerate these monkeys since they have at least learned to speak our language and contribute to our economy.

Doubtful. Maybe more effeminate genetics have more to do with it. Either way, no one has any control over any of this. If you want to shave your back, shave it. If you don't, don't. Pretty simple...

Almost zero back hair, chest is a carpet.
Almost as though god was saying... "I got you"

Okay, since you want men to be real men. Women don't need to shave anywhere either. I mean that's a real woman with hair down there, right?
The OP asked about shaving his back.
Do most women have hair on their backs?
Do most women have hair on the chest?
Just like men have penises and women don't, men are hairy and women aren't.
Women should spend more time primping and worrying about how they look. Men not so much.

Hairy arse is a pain also. Sometimes it’s like trying to get peanut butter out of shag carpet with a comb.
