If you seen buying it and you like it, why do you care what we think?

Compared to standard glossy paint matte is a nightmare to maintain. It is also expensive to repair. I like the look on certain cars, not so much on others. The general rule with matte paint is to get a full PPF wrap, even then it takes the right film and the right installer to get a good job. That makes more financial sense preserving the paint on a $200k+ car than it does on a $60k car.

I would consider matte for a weekend car but never on a daily driver.

I looked into matte on my current vehicle. They told me I couldn’t take it through a car wash or it would scratch. It came with a giant car washing kit to wash at home.

That was an immediate no-go for me, living in the northeast with the salt and snow in the winter.

It’s terrible and so is that gray, primer looking color that I see.

Not really a fan, but if the owner is pleased with it, then that's all that really matters.

I thought it would play out, but evidently it still has legs.

Not my taste, but whatever.

First you have to own one before you matte it.

If I were in the market for a vehicle, checking with the OT Lounge to see if they approve of the color wouldn’t exactly top my list.

Not from factory, but there a 4Runner I see around my area that has a matte olive green wrap on it. Looks great for that vehicle. wouldn’t be surprised to see more models coming out in matte colors as they are definitely gaining some traction right now.

True about no car wash for matte finish.
Got my 2025 G550 platinum matte wrapped with PFF. Also true different requirements to wrap a matte finish.
