$600/mo student loan is the same as what your mortgage would be? At what point will that college degree get you 3 bedrooms?
Are you fricking retarded?
Or did you just not read?

Every damn kid now has a 3.8 gpa & in college they are continuing this joke of a system of bs testing etc I see university grade reports each semester college is a joke.

Any Presidential candidate that runs on student loan forgiveness will inherit an extremely large voting base.
Obama did this and many fools fell for it. Of course when it came time to deliver he laughed in their faces.

As a millennial whose future is largely screwed over by the generations that came before, I say the hell with the future. I won't be alive to see it. Give me a piece of the pie too

Two predictions:
a.) student loan forgiveness happens within 10 years
doubtful, young people don't vote and the country will dealing with an issue that the voters care more about
Social Security will be looking at a 25% reduction, & baby boomers haven't saved for retirement
quote:
Social Security’s trustees, the program’s trust fund is scheduled to run out of money. If nothing else is done, they say, after 2034 Social Security’s annual income will only be enough to pay “about three-quarters of scheduled benefits.”

Put those two things together, and by 2030 around 60% of likely voters will be over 45 — and half of those — will already be over 60. Good luck passing a 25% Social Security cut.
Balancing the Social Security account instead would need extra taxes of about 1% of GDP, say Social Security trustees.
These will not be politically trivial sums: Current taxes are only about 16.5% of GDP, so we’re looking at a hike of nearly 10%.

Cheap money killed a lot of things but the Government didn't hold a gun to anyone's head....you borrowed it, you pay it back.

Gen X and a good portion of millennials will not be young by the 2024 election and beyond

those voters are not going to want to forgive debts that they don't have

Even a shitty white collar job is better than the day to day life of a plumber, carpenter, welder, etc. Maybe it doesn't make the most financial sense for some people but the reason most make that choice (to go to college) is because the blue collar world sucks.
Like any job or career it is what you make of it. A person with ambition can move up in those fields just as rapidly if not faster than someone in the white collar world. They also have a better chance to branch out on their own and become the owner of a business which believe me, does not suck.
They also don't have to sit in the same fricking cubicle staring at the same fricking screen day after day after day.
BTW, I understand that you and I won't agree on this. Different strokes for different folks.
