Don't do it. Let's meet at the pizza buffet instead.

On topic...I might have had one, years ago.

I make this instead: Serious Eats McRib Sandwhich Takes a bit of work, but worth it.

A BIT of work? That was one of the most complicated recipes that I've ever seen...sounded good though.

Enjoy....

First, real pork meat is processed and mixed with water, salt, dextrose — a type of sugar — and preservatives.

Then, they move the meat around the factory a bit.

The pork gets shaped into something that vaguely resembles a rack of ribs. Then the patties are sprayed with water and frozen.

It is indeed good. But that's nothing compared to some of the recipes you can find on Serious Eats when it comes to complicated.

always get excited about the McRib coming back...until I realize halfway through that I just paid $4 for a somehow less tasty version of the mystery meat BBQ on a piece of white bread that I got during high school lunch.

I eat 1 a year when they come out just to remind myself that they, like the common corn dog, are not as good as you remember them to be.

Not quite......

McRib contains 70 different ingredients, the bun alone contains 34 ingredients
In addition to chemicals like ammonium sulfate and polysorbate 80, the most egregious may be azodicarbonamide — "a flour-bleaching agent most commonly used in the manufactur[ing] of foamed plastics like gym mats and the soles of shoes." According to McDonald's own ingredient list, the bun also includes calcium sulfate and ethoxylated mono- and diglycerides, among other chemicals.

What's in a McDonald's hamburger? A 100% beef patty that's seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper, topped with melty cheese, tangy pickles, minced onions, and (of course) ketchup and mustard.
