Babysitting at 12. I got CPR certified at 12 and was able to charge more for babysitting jobs because of it.

Babysitting at 13, summer between 8th and 9th grades. Someone trusted me with their newborn several hours a day while she was at work. Ack! Of course, the mom was only 18 or 19, herself.

First paycheck job, taught swimming lessons and lifeguard, 17.

Starting working for a small residential construction company after school and full time during summer after that.

A tornado hit downtown Nashville when I was 12. My dad swung by the house, said "Grab your tools. You're learning the family glass business today." 21 years later here I am still doing it.

My first full-time part-time job was when I was 15. Went to work for my uncle at his gas station in Monroe. Worked ten hours a day six days a week for a whopping salary of 80 cents an hour. This was in 1967.

I started an internet company with a buddy of mine and sold it less than twenty four months later at the age of 16. Didn’t know how easy it was to make eight figures in the 90s.
