I agree. I think this will be stronger than forcesast and the intensity will probably be upped. I predict 70mph tropical storm. Possible an update to a hurricane right as it makes landfall. Still nothing major for us here in BR. Just a breezy rainy day. We better hope it doesn’t strengthen more than that because the ground is so wet that trees may fall easily.

Schools will start closing tomorrow. With it being Labor Day, I see schools going in on Tuesday, some may call for half days after they show up for the day and realize shot might hit the fan

Get some of those consistent 40+ gusts and we might be dealing with some power outages. Could easily get enough wind to be a pain in the arse, but yeah, nothing more than that.

Should be a fun couple days along the Amite in southern Livingston parish. River is already high thanks to the wind

Not really worried about flooding where I live on Northshore. Worst case there is me put on an island since I'm on such a high point. I'm more concerned with wind and how much the storm strengthens. I also have a dead tree near my house but I can't legally cut the fricking thing down since it's not on my property.

It’s obvious from the rest of his post that he means schools will begin announcing closures tomorrow. And common sense.

Shea Ryan, the meteorologist at Tampa's ABC affiliate said early this morning that the shear is going to keep it from forming. Has this changed?

I kind of love her a little so I hope she is right.

Good News!

I had my psychic consultant do a reading and we are clear of serious hurricane / flooding through 2022.

She’s really good.

Thought Err’body would appreciate that.

If the dead tree is on someone else’s property, aren’t the property owners responsible for damage? And their insurance likely won’t cover it if it’s dead?

Are you qualified to form this opinion? Anyone with a weather background agree?

I know but I am the national poster child for the pics disabled. Thanks for covering my back.

Would it be too much to ask to get a side view?
