What kind of cheap arse wedding is this?
We had to pay for most of our own wedding. Took a lot of budgeting to make things work. Bought our own liquor and hired a bartender we knew from Capital City Grill downtown. I found out the next day that we had started to run out of liquor so someone in the party went downstairs to the bar and bought several more handles straight from them.

No real deals on liquor or beer even from distributors. I would go with can beer, kegs aren’t cheap like the used to be.
Don't some states have minimum alcohol sales pricing and additional taxes on alcohol?
Also some state have restrictions on where alcohol is sold such as some stores can sell beer and wine, but not hard liquor. If you want hard liquor, you have to go to a liquor store. Chain stores can have seperate liquor store in the store, but they can only have so many locations in the state.
On another extreme, a state like Pennsylvania has state owned alcohol stores.

Place I’m getting married you just pay per person for open bar. That said, I’ve already put in the warning that my friends actually drink more than any calculator will say
Fortunately my family doesn’t so it’ll even out.

We bought everything from Costco and had the opposite problem. I bought too much and we had cases of wine left over.

Total Wine. Can return if you buy too much also. Delivery is nice but will only do 10 miles from the store.

Thats not even that many.
2-3 handles of each common liquor plus a few cases of miller and ultra plus some cheap wine will satisfy your average south LA crowd

How you think one gets to own 200 large in watches? By fricking around spending 150k on one day?
I got a full crew of bartenders lined up. I had a bar hand crafted out of elephant tusks and now I just need some booze to satisfy these drunks bro.

Alabama Beverage Control Board says hello.
There is an ABC store in my town and directly across the street is a package store. They are required to buy their liquor from the ABC store.
So, I'm sure you're asking why would anyone go across the street and buy marked up liquor? Because the ABC store closes at 7pm and the package store stays open until midnight. Plus, theure open on Sunday.
The State liquor monopoly in Alabama is ridiculous.
