quote:Agreed, there are legions of wonderful folks who have dedicated their lives to fighting cancer.
I’ve worked in diagnostic and biopharm companies staffed with army’s of people who’ve dedicated their careers to finding a cure or better ways to treat it and to infer they put profit before patients is shameful

She was only 30 years old and left behind a husband and three young children.
That's brutal.
A girl I was friends with in college passed from ovarian cancer in her early 30s. It's just not fair.

My dad survived AML (the most aggressive form of Leukemia) after being diagnosed in 2017.
My mentor (first job after college) is an AML survivor. He's been cancer free for over 15 years now. Your dad has to be a tough bird to have made it through that (and the treatment). Here's to continuing rising survival rates.

We truly do live in a sick society when profit takes precedence over human life.
I had a doctor tell me we've had cures for cancer since the late 1950s. In my own experience I've seen medication cure cancer only to be taken off the shelf (it worked too well?).
Here's something to think about, cancer is the second leading cause of death in this country, yet of the 40 U.S. Presidents who have died, only one was caused by cancer.
We have cures for cancer. Getting access to them, well, that's a whole other story.
As I said, we really do live in a sick society.
