The size of the IF appears immeasurable. Won’t happen.

Negative. I would never move back. Once you leave you feel revitalized.

Get good schools, low crime, high wages and a bunch of well kept parks and playgrounds and I’ll go back.

No. It’s hideous and dirty. Every time we come home we’re struck by how ugly everything is. And it’s so fricking hot. Just unbearably hot and humid. And hurricanes will never stop coming. And the people are super trashy.

If New Orleans could right the ship, that would be nice- because there’s nowhere like New Orleans. But the rest of Louisiana fundamentally sucks.

What does the state do better than any other?

Drink, eat, hunt, fish. The people who should be here are here.

The food can be cooked anywhere.

There are other places to hunt.

That’s one thing I don’t understand about the OT. It’s filled with people who left who have to constantly remind you how good their decision was.

Lots of us here are still happy living here, even with all the issues. Public schools don’t matter to me as they’re becoming shite across the country and lots of issues NOLA has are issues in all major cities.

I travel a lot and people complain a lot, but I don’t know anybody who complains about a place they don’t live like people who left LA.

You’ve got to get the ones worth a shite to stay first.

Half this damn state is unemployable.

It didn’t even get above 70 today.

Also everything south of 10 should be underwater now. Hasn’t happened. Maybe next year eh?

Because there’s no job diversity and college educated people don’t want to waste their lives working overtime as a plant operator

I would love to come back. Miss it everyday, but the jobs I want just aren’t there.
