I'm thinking it's the principle of the matter rather than the actual $1.

My post is as unnecessary as yours.

2-3 months ago they added 15 hours of free audiobooks for premium subscribers.

15 hours won't get you one decent book.

Well that's just not true at all I've listened to numerous classics under 15 hours. Or something to go along with a physical book I might be reading. Well worth a $1 price bump. I don't even know how much I'm paying for Spotify, but whatever it is, it's worth it.

There are a lot of things that I think are getting too expensive and I question the utility for most people.

Having pretty much any music I want in a very UI-friendly package for 10-20 bucks a month is not in that category.

It's 15 hours per month for audiobooks, right? Not 15 hours in the aggregate.

Principle? Of a $1 raise in proce after they added more features and content available?

Amazon is $16 (just saw on a bank account daughter had membership she forgot to cancel).

Competition is as high or higher. So question is, cancel and then use what service?

Pandora is free. That's another option. Pandora sucks compared to Spotify.... but maybe people get tired of continuous price increases.

I dropped all of the music services about 2 months ago and I actually enjoy listening to local FM/AM Radio Stations. over Spotify, Apple or YT Music.

a lot of posters in here are going to need their OT Baller status removed after complaining about paying $15 a month to have essentially the entire recorded history of music* on demand at their fingertips

I've had either spotify or apple music for over ten years now and I honestly forget that most people don't have this

yeah, i mean i guess it all depends on personal preference and what role music plays in your life. lots of people are perfectly content to have generic radio stations on in the background during the day or while they're driving, which is of course perfectly fine. i'm like whatever the opposite of that is. sometimes i get in the car and i'm like "man, i'm in the mood for country music hits from 1991-1994". put it into the playlist search bar on Spotify and BOOM four hundred playlists that match that exact criteria. i would probably cancel cable and streaming services on TV before i would cancel Spotify.

different strokes and all that.

it's pretty cool how specific you can be with searches for playlists/stations now
