First few weeks SUCKED. Coughing up all kinds of gunk as my lungs try to clear out all the crap I had been filling them up with the past 9 years. I had smoked 1-1.5 packs a day before I quit.
To be fair...I relapsed a few times though. Would smoke for a week or two (usually something really stressful had happened)...then quit. Did this a couple times in the few years after I quit. Sometimes when I would come to BR to visit family(cause soooo many more people smoke there and would still smoke in the bars there) I would bum a cigarette when out.
But even having ONE cigarette while out ....the next day I felt like crap. It's like my body was like "what the frick are you thinking, we will remind you what a bad idea that is"

I quit smoking 7 1/2 years ago. The money I save from smoking, initially was the difference between struggling and not struggling financially. After that money I saved from smoking, has paid for two trips to Europe, two trips to Australia, LSU season tickets, and the down payment on a house. And I don’t smell like an ashtray anymore.

I'm sorry your trashy fricks, sorry that you don't smoke and somehow you're still trashy. Like I said, not all smokers are trashy and apparently not all trashy people are smokers either. The more you know....

We have a relative visiting who smokes some cheap-arse cigar things that look like brown cigarettes. They smoke outside but the smell on them is as bad as dogshit, and it never dissipates.
I've had to run fans, burn candles, etc. to address the stench.
The combination of the shitty smoke smell and the cologne intended to cover it up is puke-inducing. A piss-soaked hobo would not smell any worse.

Being white collar doesn't mean someone isn't trashy.
Oh, and an amazing number of people in the medical field smoke, while telling you not to.
