That and I always enjoy the people that hike the section of the AT from Franklin to the NOC that show up looking like they just went through WW2 that section is no joke.

I know you life long southerners have a different experience, but trust me, as a midwestern transplant to NC, NC “winters” are a joke. It’s a long fall with a few real winter days sprinkled in for fun.
