It continues to amaze me how worked-up people get over giving Ukraine weapons and ammo (some of which are out of service for us) when this administration has passed spending bills totaling over 7 TRILLION dollars in the last two years.
ETA: Now that you are unemployed, you don't have to worry about your money going there, the rest of us get to help you...the only difference between you and Ukraine is the position of the decimal point.

Employee tax dollars don't go to unemployment. The employer's tax dollars go to unemployment - at least in almost all states. I think there are a few exceptions. I guess in an indirect way you pay the tax as the employer could theoretically pay you more if they didn't have to pay unemployment insurance tax, but we could go around and around with that argument.
