The median boomer's net worth is around 200k. That's not a lot after splitting i up amongst multiple children/grandchildren.

You don't get it because you have a warped perception of reality.

Hold on!!
I was told people today are struggling and can’t save because of boomers or inflation or whatever. It wasn’t a spending issue.

The amount of people I see eating out and the demographics of it really intrigued me I just wonder where the money comes from.
For work lm taking people to lunch and dinner so I know what it costs… where they get the money is all I’d like know

I’m not being a troll, I’m pointing out you don’t have the intellectual capacity to separate two distinctly different things that can be related

Thats probably saved you 50k if its happened a few times. That is badass.
We've moved a few times for corporate relo's.
For fun I did the calcs on how much the company was paying to move us. First time was around 70k. Second time was closing to 120k.
Pretty sweet being able to sell the houses and not have to pay broker's commissions. Also real nice having movers pack you and unpack you.

That conversation in your head must be really something.

There is a newer house near us.
2100 square feet and about 6 years old on a 1/3 acre lot.
The couple has young children.
They also have a pool, a boat, a travel trailer and golf cart in the driveway/yard. They extended the driveway around the garage to help park all this.
That garage is so full of stuff that they cannot pull in their big F150 or the huge SUV.
It is impressive to drive by and see all the stuff.

It seems that way. Inflation supposed to be hurting people, but every restaurant is full, Walmart and target are packed, and everyone has a new car.

Stop comparing against people who were in a different tax bracket than you. Most poor or middle-class people don’t brag about these things because they can’t afford to. You’re only focusing on those who can’t afford to do it and are posting about it.
