This was a hoax. There are two recordings out there with Yanny placed over the original to make it controversial. It was all planned this way.

This is getting close to the stupidest thing ever on the internet. I've heard both when I've listened to different recordings. Someone messed with the audio and put out multiple videos to cause this confusion. I've heard Laurel clearly on the TV. I heard Laurel a little less clearly on the computer. Then I found another video with Yanny clearly played simultaneously over Laurel to cause confusion.

I’ve listened to it pretty much every time I’ve come across it from different people. It’s always laurel. 100 percent. Not even a debate.

No someone is messing with the audio. The first time I heard it on TV it was clearly Laurel. Then I found a video online of a muffled Yanny what sounds like it's being played over Laurel. I haven't found a video of it clearly being Yanny yet.

I heard Yanny one time then opened it ten minutes later and heard laurel. I may be going crazy
