I wonder what the valuation was 20 years ago before every nice place was ruined by the influx of queers moving in.

Avalanche road doesn't sound to comforting.

Don’t I know what’s stupid? How quickly we become accustomed to the shear beauty and wonder of nature. I bet most folks would become numb to just how incredible view is after 12 months.
Undoubtedly, we certainly take things for granted

The view from the back of our house is incredible. Just about everyday Im saying to myself "goddamn this is so pretty". Even years after moving here.
Ya, but you have to deal with the leftist fricktards who control Denver.

$35M for a home you wouldn’t want to be in from Nov-March.
We went once right after COVID. No one was traveling yet and we got a week long rental cheap. Nothing special, just a little condo with a decent view of the mountains. It was a $600K property. The local McDonald’s had a sign that said they were hiring and starting at $25/hr. Everything was fricking expensive.

Why would people in Wyoming have dealings with people in Denver?

That is basically Jackson. Jackson, MS. Basically the same.

it's been this way for a over a decade.
i have friend who still lives out there working in the service industry (bartends and guides for Orvis). During covid the residents didn't want anyone to have to leave. So all the seasonal workers had to do was bring proof of their bills to a place they set up downtown and the residents all chipped in and covered everyone's expenses.
it's a different animal in Jackson Hole

Then i guess my next question would be, how often are you bumping into your neighbors? I had to go out of my way to see them when I lived in CO.

Scenery is beautiful ( hate the house) , but give me an Exotic Ocean Front for that kind of $$$.

Often but by choice. My town has like 200 total residents.

I hate that style of home. Always so ugly to me

Hard to beat that view.

I’m not mad about that price for that house and location. I can’t afford it, nor will I ever be able to, but I’m not mad.

I don’t think much about these views below. Don’t move the needle for me
When I took my friend from New Zealand and Alberta into the spillway fishing with me they couldn’t get over how pretty it was
Perspective and what you are accustomed to matters:
> As a whole people lose the beauty of where they are from
It takes resetting from outsiders at times to realize the natural beauty of where I am

You do realize this is the view from my place right?
I mean, not exactly but the angle and elevation above the lakes is pretty close. I aint numb to it yet. Sure, it doesnt have the awe factor first timers up here have, but damn it if it aint still gorgeous.
