Him and the Black Panthers destroyed the town of Cairo, IL. Provoked black people into throwing bricks at cops and store business windows. They all closed their businesses and left town. It’s pretty much a ghost town surviving on welfare now.

I know a fellow who was a Secret Service agent who was sometimes assigned to the Reverend Jackson in 1988. Jackson was a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in both ‘84 & ‘88.
My friend had nothing good to report about the Jackson he saw from behind the curtain.
Second-hand news admittedly, that’s all I got.

I see it's already been mentioned lots of times about the way I saw the guy as being one of the biggest "race baiters" of the last 50 years. He inspired more division of the races than he did to try to bring things together and act like the "Reverend" he proclaimed to be.
He and his buddy Al Sharpton both did more to keep the racial kettle boiling than to bring things into any type of harmony.
One down, one to go.

I wanted him to win president in 1988. I was 8 and thought he looked like a cool dude.
