Buc-ee's is one of the few chains that push back on all the woke bullshite. They still cater to country folk. That is why they are always so crowded. It has nothing to do with the average food.

Yet my trans daughter is always welcomed there, even with her rainbow themed Kamala shirt, and they let her use whichever clean bathroom she prefers.

Fresh shrimp PO-boy at “the Last Stop” by the water tower where you turn left to go to shell beach and straight for Delacroix comes to mind, even though they don’t have gas pumps anymore

Buc-ees is not a gas station, it's a brisket shop with a few gas pumps. Great place.

There's a few LA posters in here who are big mad about the state still not behaving any Buc-ee's locations

Agreed. You always see the resentment in their posts.

There is one about 20 miles from Orange Beach and I love it. Sausage sandwiches are great. Gas pumps full every time I stop there.

This excitement over a gas station, food, and trinkets is such a strange phenomenon.

I’ve been at the new Leeds location since they opened yesterday. It’s been a fantastic opening. Not on par with New Braunfels in 2012 of course, but easily as good as Denton. I just had a boiled egg, 2 Hippos and a Rhino. I’ll go pinch a loaf then hang around in my stall until the brisket sandwiches come out. Can’t friggen wait for NC and GA!!

Friend,

The gas prices are good, but the people willing to pay excessive amounts for bad, cheap food are subsidizing it. Buc-Ees is a good gas station, but I would never recommend eating the food from there. The beaver tracks in particular are horrible. Nothing but corn syrup and starch.

TulaneLSU

Friend,

I often read and enjoy your posts and frequently defend your honor to the naysayers on this board.

However, I can not in good faith take your side on this matter. You are entitled to your opinion, of course, this being America and all. But you are wrong here. I pray that one day you might see the error in your ways and maybe even do a Top 10 Buc-ee's food offerings in the coming days.

Yours,

LSUGrad

I’m almost glad we don’t have one in LA because the most fun part about it is hitting Buc-ee’s on the way to the beach while getting hammered and frickin all weekend.

Uh yeah, it’s called convenience. And what’s excessive? It’s cheaper than whatever brisket sandwich you’ll get at a restaurant. It’s fresh. They slice it right in front of you.

You can get whatever drink you want there. I’ve found beer cheaper there than at liquor stores or other gas stations.

Their Beaver Nuggets and whatnot are just candy. Tastes better than a damn candy bar.

The jerky is good too. Once again, where are you gonna get better jerky off the interstate?

There’s no debate about the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Doors that go to the floor win.

All of this.

No one claims it's fine dining, but if you travel a lot for work or travel with kids it's a great stop.

The store is clean, they have clean restrooms, fresh coffee and tea, made to order snacks and meals, and much more.

It's nice to have a nice clean place to stop rather than a dirty gas station with bars on the windows.

Overall mediocre food, but good enough for a gas station I suppose - and at least you got options.

I'll stop for gas but won't ever go inside one again unless others in the car want to check it out. I'm not looking to stop at WalMart on a road trip.

If you haven't had their homemade potato chips you are doing it wrong. Beaver Nuggets are just a novelty - not sure why people focus on them.

Clean bathrooms, cheapest gas on the highway, and zero check out lines ever with smiling employees. Not sure why anyone wouldn't like the place.

When I see buc-ee's, I keep driving. Way Way Way too many people to contend with at this facility.
