Beaver Nuggets are just a novelty - not sure why people focus on them

bet we passed each other. Did you get your free sample of Beaver Nuggets?
I did. They are pretty good. That brisket sandwich with the onions and pickles was a lot better than I anticipated.

Buc-ee’s is the fabric of Americana and the heartbeat of Texas, with delicious barbecue and jerky.
So true! Every trip I make out of town here in Texas going to Austin, San Antonio, wherever, involves a Buc-ee's stop. And yes, I even have some Buc-ee's jerky in the fridge at this moment...

now I know you baws are easily impressed, I tried their jerky because of all of the ranting on here about it, it sucks! it's jerky from a caulking gun

I stopped by the brand new Buc-ee's in Fort Valley GA as i've heard great things about Buc-ee's but had no idea what i was about to walk into. This place is 53,000 SF and has anything you would ever want. I have read some of the comments here and agree that the Jerky is terrible. I got the hot & spicy and there was no taste to it nor any hot/spicy. I had a few pieces and threw it out. I also have the Pulled Pork sandwich and it was decent, however, i have never had a food rip my stomach apart so quickly as that pork sandwich did.

I got my ($8.00) brisket sandwich.
I could make you one of those at home for $1.50

Friend,
The gas prices are good, but the people willing to pay excessive amounts for bad, cheap food are subsidizing it. Buc-Ees is a good gas station, but I would never recommend eating the food from there. The beaver tracks in particular are horrible. Nothing but corn syrup and starch.

I hope the next time you are putting on a dress and pretending to be mother that you find the belt of the house coat wrapped around your neck.
At first, you'll be excited, this is just like using a belt and the closet. But then your gaze starts to dim.
The last thing you think of is a buccee's beaver nugget.

Are yall really buying brisket at a gas station?

Some of the best food in the world can be found at gas stations in Louisiana.
The best BBQ place I know of is Joe's Kansas City (formerly Oklahoma Joe's), in a Shamrock station.

I was driving by there right around lunchtime so I stopped in to try one of those brisket sandwiches everyone talks about. Gotta say, it wasn’t bad.

There’s an Exxon in Hueytown, AL that has a meat & 3 cafeteria inside that makes some hellacious good home style food. Can remember the name but I think it’s something like “Momma’s kitchen” or something of that sort.

That’s it. I have to eat out virtually daily so I try to the meat & 3 places usually. That’s my go-to place in Hueytown if I’m over that way around lunchtime. It’s no Niki’s West or even Sarras, but it’s still damn good.

Ain't that the truth. That dude brags about canned smoked oysters at Walmart but tries to shite on Buc-ee's.

They just opened the new one in Leeds, AL today. Place was an absolute mad house.
Finally went last night. Why are there so many people at a fricking gas station on a Saturday night? Got the brisket sandwich and some beaver nuts. Can’t see that I’ll ever go back. It’s like Cracker Barrel opened a gas station. I just don’t get it.

I've been to the one in leeds a few times since it opened. I'm a big fan of the brisket sandwich and I ordered some kind of texas steak burrito that was also good. I had a sausage egg and cheese biscuit and wasn't impressed, there was too much bread. I can get a better one at pretty much any fast food place or quiktrip.
Also this may be blasphemous but I don't get tje appeal of the beaver nuggets. I feel like at this point it has such a cult following that people rave about them just bc they feel like they're supposed to.

What’s to get? It’s a gas station. A really big one with lots of gas pumps, pretty good food options and really clean bathrooms.

Shamrock station on U.S. 290 in Brenham, Texas (if it's still there) used to be pretty doggone good.
