If you click that link, it explains that 16.6 out of 1000 women over age 15 were married in 2018. 7.7 were divorced in 2018.
What this is saying is that the divorce rate per 1000 women is about half the marriage rate in that given year.
That’s not the same as half of all marriages ending in divorce. In fact, if that ratio persists, you’d never get half of all married couples divorced. It’s impossible.

Happened to someone close to me. She Had us all fooled. She now has all the money and kids anytime she wants. Sickening as my baw lives paycheck to paycheck after setting her and his kids up for a great life.

Nobody should get married before 25. Nobody should marry the first girl they dated. Never marry someone who doesn’t share the same religious beliefs. I’d even advise against political beliefs but that’s something that changes with age sometimes in certain people. Never marry someone who you haven’t had financial discussions with (student loans, credit card debt, etc.)

One of my best friends married his high school sweetheart, still going strong today.
Of course they did go to different colleges before coming back to marry, so cannot say if they did not take some test drives.
