The dam is probably fine now. Flow is just going to cut out around it. That whole reservoir is going to be flowing where that house is.

At least they don’t have kids to worry about.
What an odd thing to say.

Need before/regular video. Would like to see the difference.
Everything in between the 2 blues lines is currently gone, floating down the river now. It looks like it's gone a little left of the blue line because the trees to the right of the white house are gone too.

Those "Save the dam" shirts from that Dam Store video are really relevant now.

Are we taking bets on whether or not the actual dam collapses?

Looking at some of the before pictures, it seems like the water has receded slightly. I don't see any wet spots on the top of the dam right now, but not a great angle to tell for sure. If it does go, it's going to go within a matter of seconds once it starts I would think.
I keep thinking I am seeing the cedar in the background starting to move, but I think it may just be blowing slightly in the breeze or something.

The water appears to be receding because the new channel is getting deeper as the bottom erodes. The channel does, however, reduce the risk of failure as it relieves some of the pressure on the damn itself. What we don't know is how much erosion has occurred around the base of the dam.

The dam needs to be 3 feet higher. It won't make it through the night.

Is the town of St Peter impacted? My cousin went to school there in the 1990s
