In this day and age kids are more and more growing up with the idea that "the rules don't apply to me."
Perhaps the argument is that she doesn't identify as a woman and wants to wear men's clothes. Therefore that is the loophole she is trying to create. Honestly, the whole thing is silly.

A school must maintain control.
letting a girl wears pants is not losing control
the school will eventually cave and let her wear the tux and guess what? next year, a guy will probably ask to wear a dress, and they will have to go through this all over again
if the school would have just let the girl wear a tux in the first place, no one would have cared and no one would be looking to make a statement next year
the school has done this to themselves

Nope I didnt :-)
I ate crawfish and drank beer. I did make my kids watch the Ten Commandments last night.

What? I don't see anything other than a disembodied head and hand floating in a picture.

Whaaaaat???!
Heston rocks it out. This movie has stood the test of time. It's a great piece of cinematic history.

I hate the fact that this is news. Our media and society are simply dumb....how much longer until we are watching "OUCH!!! MY BALLS," while batin?
And eff you, Katy Perry, for giving this twit more attention. You are an American hero!

I realize half of you are trolling.
But the other half consists of a bunch of hyperconservative wackjobs who scream less government intrusion while simultaneously clamouring for the government to oppress anything and anyone they don't like.
I keep it fairly simple, I don't want anyone telling me what I can and cannot do with my personal freedom, and I don't want to see it happen to anyone else either.

This is what is going to happen, the school will cave, and then the christians in the community are going to get their panties in a wad.
And its going to be hysterical.

If that's a rule then it should just follow the rules and understand. It's just looking for attention and it got it.

they wouldn't if the school didn't make this an issue
I went to an extremely conservative, rural school in LA and we had a girl show up to prom in a tux
not one person cared

So if you're happy or a homosexual, you dress one way. If you're a narrow body of water, you dress another way?

This won't get too much traction. The responisble school (Carroll) is all black. So the constantly offended limp wristed dick wads who would like to blow this into a huge ordeal will find themselves pitted against the constantly offended black community. People will look around for a straight white person to blame, find none and move on to the next major crisis that doesn't exist.

What an idiotic decision by the school. She tried to keep it local, and asked the school if she could wear a tuxedo. Of course they say no, but you know there are going to be some young women dressed like absolute sluts going in there.
