The majority of these working women will never get married, and never have children.

It’s going to be a massive social problem.

Only the ugly ones or the ones that are batshit crazy. Not really a loss.

Plus, a lot of women hit 32 and change their minds about "not having kids" with quickness. They see that window narrowing and start to panic.

Aren’t you on here constantly asking for online dating app advice? How many women are lined up in your bedroom?

In Japan, the men don’t date anyone. They’re often asexual.

You guys talk so much shite about overweight and single women. How many men out there are a healthy weight or athletic looking? Who are the single and divorced men dating?

What’s driving this trend? For starters, more women are delaying marriage, choosing to stay single or divorcing in their 50s and 60s. Women are also delaying childbirth or having fewer children than in the past.

For what it's worth, this isn't exclusive to women. Ever since we as a society started requiring college/university attendance before obtaining a job with a livable wage, we've pushed further out marriage and settling down.

Add to it the necessity of both parents working to maintain a comfortable household for a family of four, you're pretty much forcing this situation. And given the rising cost of child care, it's also becoming even more expensive to have children if your not doing it to collect a welfare check.

Me

But, most men out there are overweight and fat, or at the very least skinny fat. I was at a public pool this past weekend and not a single guy there had visible abs

It’s not just the workforce and such related decisions causing them to remain single. They’ll be running out of quality/equally educated mates as more women go to college compared to men.

Which is completely upside down. We’re incentivizing the lowest IQ people in the population to reproduce.

They start to price themselves out because unlike men many women still want a partner who makes more than them.

The wall is undefeated, however, there will always be a market for women regardless of age. However they won't be able to get everything they want and have to lower their standards the older they get.

A lot of women wrongly believe the same type/quality of men interested in them when they are 23 years old will be the same type/quality of men interested in them when they are 33. This is not the case and its why so many women are miserable because they don't want to have to lower their standards and still believe they deserve Prince Charming.

point being, it’s silly to throw out these statistics then assume society has a selfish barren spinster problem. There are a lot of economical and societal problems occurring that cause this.

First, how a growing population of prime working-age women in the U.S.—many single and focused on career—will have greater representation in the labor force, help boost wages and create potentially large tailwinds in a number of consumer products categories.

How does more workers in the work force boost wages? Or are they talking about boosting women’s wages?

This may be the first time we've agreed on something. And I feel it needs to be documented.

Shows like Sex and the City don't help. My sister was obsessed with that show and actually moved to NYC because of it. And guess what, she is miserable because Sex and the City is nothing like real life.

Sex and the City tells women you can sleep around until you are 40 without any negative consequences and then fall into the arms of some rich giga Chad when you are ready to settle down.
